Another 6 language communities now have God’s Word in a recorded format that will allow them to hear or see how much He loves them. Hear or see? Yes, three of these newest recordings are sign language videos for the Deaf!
Isn’t it amazing how God is using a ministry named Faith Comes By Hearing to reach the Deaf community?
With these newest additions, FCBH now has Bible recordings in 835 languages, which combined are spoken or signed by more than 5.7 billion people in 190 countries.
The new releases are:
- Andhra Pradesh Sign Language – India
- Karnataka Sign Language – India
- Nafe – Vanuatu
- Tamil Nadu Sign Language – India
- Wapishana – Guyana
- Zapoteco de Yareni – Mexico
Of the new languages released, Karnataka is the largest group with more than 6.1 million Deaf who use this sign language primarily in India, while the smallest is Zapoteco de Yareni, spoken by about 2,900 people in Mexico. The best part? These six releases represent over 7.3 million people who now have recorded Scripture available in their heart language.
We are also excited to announce the completion and release of the Hebrew Old Testament recording. Listen for yourself today by clicking here.
At FCBH, we remain committed to the mission of making God’s Word freely available to everyone and we’re encouraged that supporters continue to help make this possible. We are also grateful to our many partners who share a passion for Great Commission work. For this month’s releases they are: DOOR International, Guyana Bible Society, Suriname Bible Society, and Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Stay tuned for more recordings to be release next month. And remember – you can be a part of making this all happen. Give today, so that the world may hear and see tomorrow!
