It’s always an exhilarating time when we get to announce that God’s Word is available to more people in their own language. We are excited to let you know about 9 new Scripture recordings that are now available. Combined, these people groups have over 3.6 million speakers that can now hear for themselves the precious and beautiful Word of God in their own heart language!
The newest recordings are:
- Bokyi – Nigeria
- Gangam – Togo
- Hanunoo – Philippines
- Kroumen, Plapo – Cote d’Ivoire
- Mixtec Diuxi-Tilantongo – Mexico
- Owa – Solomon Islands
- Tembo – DRC
- Yanesha – Peru
As you may have read in past posts, we occasionally have recordings for people groups living in very sensitive regions where disclosing this information publicly may put them at risk. One of our releases this month falls into that category. As such, we would very much appreciate your prayers for this people group. You may not know their name, but God does . . . and He knows every hair on every head of every person that speaks this language.
As always, it is our pleasure to recognize our translating partners that make all of this possible. Their decades of dedication provide the written text we need to record the Bible. This month our partners include: The Bible League, The Bible Society of Nigeria, and Wycliffe Bible Translators.
The Body of Christ working together so that all may know the Good News!
Fun fact: Mixtec Diuxi-Tilantongo is the smallest people group of this month’s releases with just 4,200 speakers!
