OBT recreates the same steps as a written translation, except that it is all completed orally. The process begins with the exegete studying the passages. The translators gather and listen to Scripture passages in languages they know and understand.
Each passage is discussed in detail, paying close attention to characters, narratives, and central messages. Exegetical advisors guide and encourage the translators and assist them in exegesis, internalization, and OBT principles throughout the life of the project.
