**UPDATE** We are recording the language of one of the most persecuted/closed countries in the world. Our team has even had to go so far as to wipe their hard drive every night because of surprise inspections. Your prayers for the safety of everyone involved and the ultimate success of this project are very much appreciated.
Praise God and thank you for praying! Your prayers are being answered and so many wonderful things are taking place in this region of the world!
There are new opportunities to reach the diaspora who have fled to all parts of Europe. A refugee center in Austria will soon receive 50 BibleSticks in 10 different languages to use to minister to those living in a camp nearby. Please continue to pray for those working with refugees in this part of the world.
We now have new recording agreements with the European Bible Societies and we will be starting recording projects in Bulgarian, Slovenian, and Latvian. Pray that many of the other recording projects desired by the Bible Societies will be able to start soon.
Also, a young Komi pastor just received his first package of Mini Proclaimers and will soon start listening groups among the Komi-Zyrian people in northern Russia.
Because of the extreme difficulty in working in the following regions, language and country names have been changed or omitted to protect our partners and their workers.
Thank you for praying for the Atta (pseudonym) recording. It is finally finished; but God began using this recording even before the recording was completed. Below is the recording team’s story about one of the voice actors. She was not a Christian and had never read the Bible:
“There was a miracle when she started the work. This woman has respect among Atta people in the eastern Caucasus Mountains area and abroad. She writes poems and songs for musicians and singers, and is an announcer on the Atta radio. She shared with us the following during the recording:
‘For me, this is very new in my life. What I read, every verse touched me and has relation to my life. Never has anyone told us such important and needed truths. I am 50 and never before had this experience. Every verse changed me and I know what God wants from us. From these verses, I can see that the Word of God is alive. I have a dream – for the entire Atta nation to hear this Word. I pray this recorded New Testament would be broadcast on the radio where I work. When all the Atta nation hears the living Word, they will change from the inside to the outside. I will try to do my best, when the recording is ready, to organize the broadcast on radio, if there is a possibility. Please, pray for the Atta nation to hear what we have recorded now.’”
This area has been torn by multiple wars. Pray that there will be many opportunities to partner with workers who are sharing the Gospel among the Atta people; continue to pray for reliable contacts for the recording of a language referred to as ‘Z.’
Praise God for the volunteers who are travelling to areas with over 7,000 BibleSticks, Mini Proclaimers, and Micro Proclaimers to serve refugees. More and more fruit is being borne in refugee camps throughout the region and the BibleStick plays a significant role, as the majority of these refugees do not read their heart language. Please pray that the refugees from the Syrian and Iraqi conflicts who are receiving God’s Word on BibleSticks would have an opportunity to meet with a believer to ask questions and be discipled.
Praise God! Couriers will be carrying in BibleSticks for the Bible Society of Palestine. Pray for divine appointments for these BibleSticks, which will be used to minister to Arab Christians and as an outreach to Palestinian Muslims; and pray that men and women all over the country will come to Jesus.
Praise God! A pastor and his team have been using Proclaimers to witness to people who are working in the fields, crews who are working on roads, and workers in a brick factory. Several of these people have professed faith in Jesus and have been baptized. Pray for protection for the team as they boldly witness in a country that is very hostile to the Gospel.
