    Houston Churches Take 40-Day Audio Bible Listening Challenge

    Faith Comes By Hearing, the world’s foremost Audio Bible ministry, announces the launch of You've Got The Time Houston.

    Church goers across the area are taking the 40-day challenge to listen through the entire New Testament in this city-wide Bible listening campaign.

    “In just 28 minutes a day, people can listen to the whole New Testament,” said Roger Hunter, the campaign’s coordinator.

    “Most people will do that on the way to work and while they do various jobs around the house,” added Pastor Mark S. Hartman, the senior pastor at Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

    Research shows that 65 percent of people have never read the New Testament. Other studies report that less than half of Americans can name all four Gospels.

    Second Baptist Church of Houston Takes Bible Listening Challenge

    When Dr. Ed Young of Second Baptist Church of Houston heard about You’ve Got The Time launching there in early 2009 and began listening to the BibleStick for himself, he decided to get involved immediately.

    Dr. Young said, “This is a super opportunity to get on the same page as a church family. Most of us have been reading the Bible for many, many years. Listening to God’s Word, however, can add even greater depth and understanding to our times in the Scripture.”
