Quechua People: "The Word has changed me!"
The Quechua people of South America didn't believe God understood their language—as far as they could tell, God only spoke Spanish.
Like many of his fellow Quechuans, Ricardo is unable to read his own language and often heard about spiritual things in Spanish, his second language.
Ricardo grew up as the son of the local curandera, a witchcraft healer. The local law and cultural customs required him to take over his father's practice; but, after sitting in on a Bible listening session, Ricardo realized there was another way to live.

Standing on a pile of concrete and tin rubble, a 20-something year old Haitian man points over his shoulder.
"This was my father's house," he said, matter-of-factly. Then the reality rolls over him like a wave, and his voice breaks, "My mother was in there. My family was…"
He is interrupted by another man who yells, "I can hear them in there. But we can't get to them. Without a loader, we can't move this."
On Tuesday, January 12th, Haiti, the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, was struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake near its capital city, Port-au-Prince. Up to 3 million people have been affected by the most powerful earthquake to hit Haiti in 200 years.
Bible Listening Campaign Begins in San Antonio
When Senior Pastor Jeff Harris and Associate Pastor Mike Sharrow of Grace Point Church in San Antonio first heard how 65% of Christians have never read the New Testament, they were so skeptical they decided to poll fellow church members.

“Many people in our language group haven’t understood Christianity before,” said one Ethiopian Reverend. “It seems to them like whole, unground grain, as yet indigestible.”
This was the common viewpoint toward Christianity among the Bench people in southwest Ethiopia. That is, until God’s Word in audio began sweeping through village after village.
