This has been a very challenging environment and I know I won’t make it without getting closer to God and with His help.
The audio has helped out a great deal. There are places I get stationed that don’t have the best of lighting at night time. So this has been great.
No matter where they serve or the branch of service, Military BibleSticks are making a difference in the lives of our troops and their families! Faith Comes By Hearing is privileged to work with more than 1,450 chaplains to provide over 447,000 Military BibleSticks to Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Guardsmen whether they are serving in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Southwest Asia, or are stateside preparing for deployment.
When the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, the American colonies boldly proclaimed to the world that they were free and independent states. Now, over 230 years later, Americans still value independence and celebrate freedom with picnics, barbeques, and fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Fishing along a shady river, grilling, or just sitting outside enjoying a lazy summer afternoon: the best things about Father’s Day are the simplest. The day is not about the gifts as much as it is a reminder of the joy and gratification associated with being a dad. It’s about recognizing the important part he plays in the family, offering direction, strength, and a shoulder to lean on.
In 1999, The U.S. Congress passed a resolution urging the president and all Americans to observe the month of May each year as a symbol of unity to honor the current and former members of the United States Armed Forces, including those who have died in the pursuit of freedom and peace. It is a real encouragement to our servicemen and women to know that their country has set aside an entire month to honor and appreciate them.
Words like victory, triumph, power, overcoming, and hope are often used to describe the Resurrection. There is another phrase which could be even more important: Come and See. The same words describe the Military BibleStick as Faith Comes By Hearing reaches another exciting milestone of ministry to our servicemen and women.
A bouquet of roses, a box of chocolates, candy hearts, and fancy cards are ways of expressing love on Valentine’s Day. For those who faithfully serve our country, February 14th means another day away from the people they love most. They may exchange cards or make phone calls, but a long-distance celebration is difficult. This February you can show our military and their families how much you care by sharing the love of Christ with them.
