Why give to Faith Comes By Hearing?

The Bible offers hope and truth. But what if you couldn't read? Or what if it was in a language that you couldn't understand?

Over 70% of the world's population can't read, or live in oral cultures. They need the Scriptures—in audio and in their heart language.

Romans 10:17 says, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."

Oral-centered communities like the Punu of Gabon may never know the hope of the Gospel unless they hear it.

"It has gripped me in my adult life that Jesus wants us to send out the Gospel to the whole world. I stay involved with Faith Comes by Hearing because they're doing the job. They're getting it done. Every language, every tribe. I want to stay involved with that."

Praise God—the Taita language was fully funded on Giving Tuesday, meaning that the Dawida people of Kenya will receive God’s audible Word in their language! We aren’t finished yet, though. Next up: the Punu language, spoken in Gabon.

Each language costs $35,000 to record and provide to the people who speak it—will you provide the Punu the good news of Jesus?

raised so far toward the Taita and Punu languages!
