The Word of God in 657 Languages . . . and Counting!

Including Tepehua Tlachichilco, spoken in Mexico by just 3,000 people

Faith Comes By Hearing has added nine new language recordings to our catalog of Audio Scriptures. The new releases are:

  • Ateso - Uganda
  • Azumeina - Chad
  • Pokomo - Kenya
  • Quichua Napo Lowland - Ecuador
  • Quichua Tena Lowland - Ecuador
  • Sarangani Blaan - Philippines
  • Tepehua Tlachichilco - Mexico
  • Sensitive Language - Philippines
  • Sensitive Language - Colombia

The two languages not named above are spoken in regions that remain extremely hostile to the Gospel message.

Combined, these nine languages represent more than 2.2 million people that now have God's Word in audio available in their heart language. These recordings are possible because of the dedicated translation work of our partners around the world.

Our catalog, the single largest resource of Audio Bibles in the world, now features a total of 657 languages. Spoken in more than 185 countries, these recordings represent a potential outreach to more than 5 billion people - or in other words, two-thirds of the world's population!

Faith Comes By Hearing offers free access to Audio Bibles through streaming and podcasts, while the Bible.is app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices now offers access to God's Word in more than 700 languages.

For those areas that do not yet have regular access to the Internet or mobile devices, Faith Comes By Hearing continues to reach out by providing Audio New Testaments on solar-powered Proclaimers for listening groups. More than 305,000 devices are proclaiming God's Word around the world.

Our goal is to record and provide Audio New Testaments in every translated language, making the fulfillment of the Great Commission a reality in our lifetime!

The average cost to record the New Testament in a people's heart language is $25,596, or $948 per book. Once recorded, the average cost to provide God's Word in audio for an entire village is $157.
