Faith Comes By Hearing,
I am writing to thank you for your Audio Bible . . . this was given to my son Matthew. He is a soldier stationed in Camp Anaconda, Iraq. He has listened to this and said he enjoyed it very much. He has also passed it around for other soldiers to listen to. When you are a mother whose child is so many miles away from you, it is a comfort to know he is keeping God with him.
This letter, from a mother whose son is serving in the military, is the reason we do what we
do - "keeping God" with people so they can be comforted, strengthened, and encouraged by His Word, regardless of where they are.
Perhaps in response to the prayers of this mother and others, an unprecedented door has opened the last year and a half for God's Word in audio to be shared with those serving in the military.

And as another chaplain shares, "I recently heard back from a sailor deployed to the Middle East. She said she sometimes has to stand guard duty all day. She's not allowed to carry a book or read because she has to stay aware of her surroundings at all times, and she can't do that with her nose in a book. But she can listen to God's Word, and she listens all day."
