Faith Comes By Hearing Reaches 500 Languages Recorded

Faith Comes By Hearing, the world's largest Audio Bible ministry, is excited to announce that they have now recorded the New Testament in 500 languages. The historic landmark for the ministry means that more than 4.6 billion people from more than 154 countries can now listen to God's Word in their heart language.

The newest recordings include:

• Bora - Peru • Boro - India
• Chamacoco - Paraguay • Fang - Gabon
• Koronadal Blaan - Philippines • Kupsapiny - Uganda
• Medumba - Cameroon • Otetela - DRC
• Pangasinan - Philippines • Pokomchí, Eastern - Guatemala

These recent releases represent more than 5 million people on four continents. Moreover, they move the ministry closer to their goal of recording Audio Bibles in 2,000 languages by 2016 - reaching the vast majority of the world's population.

The majority of the 500 language recordings are available for free download or streaming. For those who prefer to read and listen at the same time, 96 languages are available through the ministry's free Bible apps for Apple IOS and Android mobile devices, or directly from the Bible.is web site, with more being added regularly.

"Recording the Scripture in 500 languages is an important milestone for our ministry, but we remain focused on reaching 2,000 languages by 2016," stated Jerry Jackson, Faith Comes By Hearing's founder and president. "Well trained and equipped teams are at work all over the world doing these recordings in the most difficult situations as a result of faithful and generous supporters of this cause."

For more than 35 years, Faith Comes By Hearing has been standing with poor and illiterate people throughout the world to provide them the promises of salvation, hope and comfort in the Word of God. From free Bible apps to solar-powered Audio Bibles, Faith Comes By Hearing continues to innovate and invite people to hear God's Word in the language that means the most to them - their own.
