You've Got The Time is moving into San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Dallas, and Forth Worth in 2010!
Since Faith Comes By Hearing launched You've Got The Time in 2006, almost 14,000 churches across the U.S. have participated, including the largest church in America, entire denominations, and nationwide fellowships. Over 3 million free Bibles in audio have been placed into the hands of churchgoers so far.
After hearing about You've Got The Time, Grace Point Church in San Antonio, TX, was so excited about getting their people into the Word, they didn't want to wait until 2010. They listened in August 2009. Pastor of Community Mike Sharrow shares, "Listening to the Audio Bible opened up a whole new set of conversations because it wasn't the pastor telling them to do something, it was, 'So Jesus really seemed to care about this. Help me understand why I have to do that because I can't get His words out of my head.' The fact that they could hear Jesus and it was connecting with them was really powerful. . . It has also really helped compel people to want to take a part in getting God's Word around the world. It's been incredible."
Several pastors' luncheons have been held, inviting the churches in these cities to join in this Bible listening initiative. Hundreds of pastors from dozens of different denominations attended. Among Catholic churches alone, 139 parishes in San Antonio with 600,000 congregants and 68 parishes in Corpus Christi with 60,000 congregants have already committed to You've Got The Time.
More luncheons will be held in 2010 and people in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Dallas, and Fort Worth will begin to hear about You've Got The Time through television, billboards, web ads, news, and radio spots.
