Biblica - Transforming lives through God's Word

International Bible Society (IBS) has made some changes in this, their third century of ministry.

Biblica (formerly International Bible Society) is focused on Evangelism to bring people into relationship with Christ by presenting the Gospel in multiple languages and formats; Education to present a biblical worldview allowing Christians to engage the world from God's perspective; Equipping to strengthen Christians to fulfill Christ's Great Commission; and Engagement to draw people into a deeper understanding of God's Word so their lives will be transformed by its truth and power.

Biblica (formerly International Bible Society) says that throughout history, God has transformed people's lives by the power of His Word. The same is true today - the most powerful resource for leading someone to faith in Christ is simply the Word itself.

This is not the first time this ministry has changed names. In December 1809, the New York Bible Society was formed to distribute the Bible to all who lacked knowledge of God's saving grace. It was later renamed International Bible Society to better convey its global ministry and impact.

Today, Biblica (formerly International Bible Society) stands tall with their new name as God leads them into a third century of ministry. The ministry's purpose of providing Scripture to people who need it is brought to the forefront through the wisdom and passion of the last 200 years.
