New Life Chapel in Sinhala
The people in this community all work by harvesting herbs and greens by picking them by hand. Before the Faith Comes By Hearing Audio Bible listening program came, there was a lot of disunity in the community.
Now they listen not only at church and in the cell groups, but also while they work in nearby fields. This has brought harmony to the community and the people are living and working together in peace.
St. John’s Home
At this children's home there are 28 girls. Some are orphans, and some have been removed from their homes due to bad situations. The testimonies illustrate the power of God's Word to shape and mold hearts when those who need to hear are able to, especially in their own language.
Ruwant, age 17, said, "I had a miserable life growing up. But listening to God’s Word has really touched my heart. The Parable of the Sower was especially meaningful to me."
Reika, age 16, said, "I learned a very important thing when Jesus asked, 'Who is my brother?' He said it was the person who does the will of god. I want to be a person who does the will of God."
