Audio Bibles for the People of Paraguay
A mixture of Spanish and Native American descent, the majority of Paraguayans speak the indigenous language Guaraní. In an effort to bring His church together and make disciples, Faith Comes By Hearing records Audio Bibles in heart languages, such as Guaraní. Faithful partners and donors join with us to then provide the recorded Word of God to implement Bible listening groups throughout the country.
As of the end of 2010, 34 Audio Bible listening groups have been implemented, using a combination of Guaraní, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Jesus Saves Girl's Life
The Administrative Manager of Finance & Programs of the Bible Society of Paraguay shared the following with our worker family during a meeting:
"I have quite a few testimonies from people who have heard Faith Comes By Hearing in schools. One of them I'd like to share:
"A girl had a tragic accident for which she was taken to the hospital. There she was in a coma for 15 to 20 days.
"Before the accident a person took her to hear the Word in a school. After the accident, and after she had been in the coma, she woke up. The first thing she remembered was the Word of God she heard in the school. They called the professor that brought her to hear the Word.
"The girl said, I was saved, I was saved!
"He replied, Yes, you woke up from the coma.
"Emphatically she declared, No, no, it's not that I came out of the coma. Jesus Christ saved me and changed my life!
"I tell you what - this gives me goose bumps all over. This says to me we've got to find out how we can take the Word of God to more schools and more places where we haven't gone yet."
Audio Bible Excites the Church
In Paraguay, a local pastor is using the Audio Bible as part of his radio broadcast. One observer stated, “When people heard his radio program, they asked ‘who is preaching in Guarani? Whoever it is knows how to preach’! People are desperate to hear the Word! When they hear the Word miracles happen and churches are planted. Thank you for joining with us in preaching the Word and planting churches!!”
