A Woman's Growth
A single mother accepted Christ through Faith Comes By Hearing's listening program. In her own words:
“I was not happy at all, but the Audio Bible has helped me to become a happy person. I was married for fifteen years and we had six children. But some years after, my husband met another woman and he decided to live with her. That was a very critical moment in my life because I had to take care of my kids alone.
"I was unemployed, so in order to gain some money I used to sell Djidjango (a local traditional alcohol beer) so that I could sustain my family. Doing this business was not easy. Most of the time I was obliged to drink with my customers or have inappropriate relationships with them so that my business could be more profitable.
"But one day, a lady who used to pass by where we were selling the beer invited me to go to her church, because she saw that I was not at peace with myself. I accepted the invitation to see if I could find something different. In fact, the Faith Comes By Hearing listening program was a different thing in my life.
"I heard Jesus say in Matthew 11:28, 'Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.' After hearing this passage, I asked God to forgive my sins and I decided to change my life. Now I am saved and I am working in a small company in the village.
