Reconciliation

"I arrived at church upset from an argument and vowing to never forgive. We listened to the passage about God not forgiving us if we do not forgive others. That really scared me and I decided to obey. A month later, the person I had the disagreement with said that Christians are special and he was interested in the faith. I was touched and praise God that he decided to follow Jesus that day!"

Off to a Great Start

Using their New Testament translation in a related language as a reference, Swiss Wycliffe Bible Translators workers, Urs and Idda Niggli, finished the Ninkaré New Testament in just 8 years. The work was dedicated in December 2004. Just over 3 years later, Ninkaré Proclaimers arrived in Burkina Faso for Faith Comes By Hearing listening groups. Supervisors and dozens of discipleship leaders were trained, and at last report 85 listening groups were meeting regularly!

Kasem Proclaimer Arrives

When the  Proclaimer containing the Kasem Audio New Testament arrived, there was great surprise among the promoters of the Audio Bible listening programs.

"What? This thing does not need a battery?" a promoter exclaimed!

"You mean it drinks in the sunlight and produces its own power? This is unbelievable!“ another gasped.

Storing the entire Kasem New Testament onto a small machine that can be played at anytime, anywhere was more than some of the newly trained Faith Comes By Hearing national promoters could fathom.

But once the initial shock wore off, the promoters praised the Lord for such a wonderful tool.  These workers were commissioned to share the Proclaimer with 100 churches.  But there are many more churches in Kassena land.  They too will have Proclaimers.
