American Bible Society

Founded in 1816, the American Bible Society (ABS) has a long tradition of distributing the printed Word across America and around the world. ABS and Faith Comes By Hearing have worked together for more than 33 years.

During 2005-2007, they gave significant help to Faith Comes by Hearing in order to accelerate the following mission for the 50% of the world's population that cannot read:

• To record 2,000 languages and to start 2 million listening groups by 2016.
• Upon completion, these recordings will reach up to 97% of the world's population and will reach one billion Bibleless people.
• To see at least 150 million believers discipled in the faith.
